Here is a excerpt from our submission readme. ---------------------- CameraLink integrates many of the capabilities of the Android Platform and other Google Technologies (Picasa) to deliver a GPS enabled, GTalk controlled, group photo capture and sharing application for the Android Platform. CameraLink utilizes Android GTalk capabilities to allow a user to send a CameraLink photo requests to a buddy or a group of buddies that has been entered into Contacts. Upon receipt of the remote request, each person is presented with a screen that allows them to accept the picture request. Upon acceptance of the request, the user is redirected to a screen to take a picture and then send it back to the person who initiated the request. The phone user who initiates the picture request to a group of users will receive photos from each user. A group name will be used as the folder name to store the pictures.
Additionally, CameraLink integrates Android Contacts for creating members of CameraLink groups. Further, all CameraLink photos can optionally be tagged with the GPS coordinates of the picture location using Android Location services. The TIFF EXIF artist tag is used to capture the identity of the person who took the CameraLink photo. The use of standard EXIF tags allows further integration with photo sharing sites such as Google Picasa. The initial implementation provides integration with Google Picasa which can process EXIF tagged photos. All tagged pictures sent to Picasa are displayed on the map due to the GPS tagging in CameraLink. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Challenge" group.
