... ... Let's shift the goal to serving society. I think Henry Ford says that businesses that survive are the ones that serve society efficiently. The Supreme Court says there are a lot of obstructionist patents that stifle innovation as much as they serve it, and that is not the purpose of our patent system. They made it much easier to show obviousness last summer in support of innovation to help people.
If Google declares any idea that had multiple submissions as somewhat obvious and unstealable, they would be stating fact - even though the authors might not be thrilled about the fact. It is still fact. If one thinks their idea is more unique than Google can resolve, then one can likely implement it with more clarity of vision and in a way that will make it a winner with customers. I would be surprised if there were more than 25 ideas that were not submitted in multiples. If Google thinks they are worth doing, they will give them an award. Google is providing an SDK that I can use to serve people. That’s enough.
