Ahh!!! I forgot about lost. Yeah, I was like that last week and Monday. Originally I'd ssh to the server, then cd to the log dir, then check the logs for unknown ips. Finally, I wrote a jsp page that just looks at the log and filters out work and home ip. that was depressing because it was way too easy to check, and there was no hope when the page came back blank. At least with the ssh method, I'd have to scroll through my own ips and look.
I actually use my thing daily. It has a functional web version. The phone version is like an optimized client. I think that sort of model will work very well going forward. There was an article somewhere recently about how difficult phone apps will be because there's little space to advertise, but I think one way of getting around that is building these hybrid apps. People will use your app over the competition if you offer great web and phone clients. That sort of thing. Anyway, I stopped checking Monday. I was going nuts.
