As somebody who makes project decisions, I'd guess its not an automated
process.  If there was a problem sending them out (such as a messed up link
;), they'd want to have direct control.  Much worse than a bad link, if
there's some sort of crossed wires (you see my app).

I think it would be a mostly manual process, and they stopped when they got
feedback that the links were wrong.

Or you were disqualified ;)
