Your computer is not fast enough. I have a quad-core desktop PC, and
it can only sometimes play back video in the emulator, on any Android
release. I have a dual-core notebook PC, and it can rarely play back
video in the emulator, on any Android release. If you want to actually
watch movies in an Android environment, use production-grade
non-modded hardware.

There is no Android 2.1 for the G1.
