Hello, Gmail and Exchange both use same syncing protocol EAS and same authority com.android.exchange in Android Eclair code. Different account types are based on different authorities.
On the available Android Eclair code, Gmail account can be added as 'exchange' or 'corporate' account. But on Nexus one there is a different account type for gmail. Can somebody give me information on how Gmail account has been separated from exchange account on Nexus one.
