*Lead Software Development Engineer – Test (1 opening)*
team role requires a candidate with a strong background in Agile
Development Methodology and Agile Software Testing to support our evolving
mobile application product development. The candidate will have extensive
experience developing mobile test automation and will leverage that
experience to build or expand automation testing frameworks, establish
automation coding standards and integrate mobile automation tooling within
release pipelines to support continuous testing. The candidate will develop
test automation and provide guidance and coaching for test automation
resources.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Design, develop, test and integrate mobile and web software test
automation to validate new functionality, services, data and manual
regression testing
- Develop and maintain practical standards and framework for test
automation
- Leverage MetLife’s technology tool stack or recommend tooling for test
automation and continuous testing
- Work with DevSecOps engineers to define best practices for
implementing test automation within continuous integration/continuous
deployment flows
- Consult with agile teams to support automation for both functional and
non-functional testing
- Conduct testing and test automation reviews developed across agile
teams
*Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:*
- Experience leading test automation for mobile and web applications
- Experience in tool selection, implementation, and identifying best
practices
- Experience in test data management
- Multi-platform experience (e.g., Mobile, Web, Services, Back-end,
Batch Applications, Cloud, Data)
- Experience working with Software Engineers and Software Test Engineers
to create test data
- Experience developing test automation using one or more of the
following (or similar): Selenium Framework, Perfecto, Cucumber
- Problem-Solving & decision making that supports defect resolution,
data integration and application business rule processing
- Manage competing priorities, embrace change and execute with a
solution thought process
Required:
- Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or a
related field
- Broad experience in Test Automation & Test Data Management
- Strong Software Design and Development skills
- Experience in Agile Software Delivery with emphasis in test automation
frameworks and in-sprint test automation
- Proficient communications and problem-solving skills
- Experience with
- Selenium (Java)
- Appium
- API (JSON)
Preferred:
- 5+ years experience in test automation
- Experience with Azure Devops platform
- Release pipeline integration
- Test plan automation integration
