Data Integration Engineer
Location: Remote

A data integration engineer typically needs to have the following
qualifications:
Education: Data integration engineers are typically required to have a
bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer
engineering or a related field. Some employers may prefer candidates who
have a master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
Training & Experience: Data integration engineers typically receive
on-the-job training after they are hired. This training helps the engineer
learn the company’s specific systems and procedures. It also allows the
engineer to become familiar with the company’s data and the systems they
use to access and transfer it.
Certifications & Licenses: While most data integration engineer jobs don’t
require certifications, data integration engineers who have additional
credentials can improve their earning potential and increase their
versatility.
Data Integration Engineer Skills
Data integration engineers need the following skills in order to be
successful:
Database management: Data integration engineers work with large amounts of
data, so database management skills can be helpful. They may be responsible
for designing and maintaining databases, which requires knowledge of
database software and how to set up and optimize databases.
Communication: Data integration engineers need to communicate with other
team members and clients. They often work with other engineers to develop
new processes and programs, and they need to be able to explain technical
concepts to non-technical people. Data integration engineers also need to
be able to communicate with clients to understand their needs and explain
how the data integration team is meeting those needs.
