Hi all, last week we released the new version of PeerDroid.
http://code.google.com/p/peerdroid/ Currently PeerDroid is a porting of JXTA-J2ME (JXME) for the Android platform, enabling the development of true P2P applications for this new mobile platform. PeerDroid uses the features of JXTA along with Android potential, allowing to implement peers that can interact with other JXTA peers running on mobile terminals and on PCs. In the future, PeerDroid will be more than a JXTA porting for Android, providing APIs for P2P streaming, etc. At http://code.google.com/p/peerdroid/ there is the peerdroid.jar with the porting of JXME. Also available: + Peer Droid Sample Application with: - Service classes to manage in a easy way JXTA Connection, Socket, ADV and peerList - Simple GUI to show incoming messages, network status and available peer list + JXTA Sample Application that you can run on traditional PCs with the same characteristics of the previous one, but without the GUI. + A simple RDV that EDGE nodes can use to join a JXTA Network The main aspect of our simple demos is that using the features of JXTA/ JXME we want to create a software layer that allows the user to create in a easy way a P2P network with Join functionality, PeerList Management and Socket Services. Try it! Looking forward for your feedback.
