I wrote a library for making the SimpleDB REST calls. So it is possible to do this. I intend to work on the library some more. I would recommend looking at Alan Williamson's SimpleDB library here: http://alan.blog-city.com/simpledb_sqs_java.htm I have not tried it, but since it is a single class, it may work well with Android. It would be great to determine if it compiles & works in an Android project.
