Anybody tried to use this API on Hero?

I always met

connect error: No route to host (113)

while the Hero phone has paired with the device, I can see the paired
information in setting. But openSocket simply doesn't work, regardless
of what kind of modification I made.

This is really frustrating and would be very appreciate if anybody can
give some hints.

BTW: I wonder which port number do you guys assign when initialize the
connection, and why?
