First, the Archosfans forum does not link to pirated software. Google does when people search "softwarename + apk". Any links on the archosfans forum linking to any pirated software is removed when brought to the attention of the moderators.
Second, your account is not banned from the archosfans forum. It has been de-activated and you can re-register with another username on the archosfans forum. The reason for your account being de-activated was so you could not delete your 400+ posts that you posted since the exact date Archos says in their press release that you and Archos formally stopped negociations. Since then you have posted those nearly 400 posts on the Archosfans forum to only bash and disparage Archos in every way possible, from constantly bashing on the Archos Android product, bashing on other Archos products, all backing up Archos claim that you have been spreading "unfounded and slanderous allegations by not only to try to affect ARCHOS’ reputation, but also harmful to ARCHOS’ partners and to the applications development community." Being a forum troll and company/community basher is fine and nothing can usually be done about that. But it's probably not legal when the forum troll/basher in question is at the same time representing a competitor that feels it wants to spread a whole range of unfounded slander and disparagement against the company in question. Spreading FUD by representatives of competitors is not a legal practice. If Archos needs it, they will be able to find a history of all of alsutton's disparaging posts at http://forum.archosfans.com/search.php?author_id=44763&sr=posts And since his account has been de-activated, he will not be able to go back to delete his nastiest parts. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
