Dianne - we develop the leading PIM for mobile devices (I can back that up with sales numbers on iPhone, WM, and BlackBerry so its not just me saying "leading") and we have very close relationships with MS, RIM, and Apple. We'd like to bring our software to the Android platform and integrate with the pre-existing data. Our software literally sells devices.
That said, when do you anticipate that the calendar API will be part of the SDK? I realize that this is me asking for something that you probably cannot answer publicly but it never hurts to ask :) Or perhaps if the engineers there want to talk to us, I'd be happy to talk to someone there.
