Well now i feel like a fool for missing that! It's there and it compiles (as a 1.5 project) and runs fine on my 2.0 droid. Obviously is a solid place to start.
It's there in the 1.6 and 2.0 SDK as well but I haven't compared them for differences yet. Thanks!
