No offence, but ideas like this, are destroying platform consistency, resulting in software, that is working BAD, giving bad experience to users, and hanging out the phone at least.
I hate that style of coding. Focus rather on giving great user experience than making user's live harder. To the point. Think out a better idea. Think how to create your upgrade in any other way, without any platform hacks. It is possible.
