Hi all,

As we all know, Motorola has launched it's App Accelerator now. It's
still in a nascent state, but I guess, when Motorola rolls out its
market-like application, how will it compete with Android market.

I was just curious about this whether Google makes it mandatory for
all the device manufacture to include it's Market app with the Android
OS. It is quite possible that, the device manufactures, to increase
their sale, might push for their Market-like app, which will have only
access to specific market. For example, Motorola app for the App Store
for Motorola. In such a situation, they might not want the Android
Market be installed on their phones.

Similarly, other device manufacturers, if decide to go for their own
app store and market app, and don't want to ship Android Market app
with their devices, in an attempt to make their own app store
popular.

Let's assume that Motorola app store becomes very popular, both for
the developers and the end-users. If they start getting positive
reviews, then, many people might be interested in only Motorola
devices, since it has got a great market, the developers on Motorola
app store are great, and things like that.

Then, it might get very interesting. We might see a lot of more app
stores for Android Apps.

I know this might not be the suitable place for such kind of
questions, but since this group has a lot of visibility and activity,
I thought I could get some more comments on this.

Thanks and Regards,
Kumar Bibek.
