Regarding the silly question, not the serious question, I have a data point. I used text-to-speech to output some audio at the same time as a transcription (Voice Recognition) Activity was listening for input. I got a "successful" transcription but the results were just a little better than random guesses. A lot of the blame probably belongs to the text-to-speech; it would be interesting to see how it would do if the text-to-speech were replaced with recorded speech. But still, it's not going to be a serious solution to anything.
BTW, our Open Handset Alliance comrade Nuance just introduced a high- accuracy transcription service for the iPhone; are we going to get some of that action? -Mark On Nov 13, 6:03 pm, Mark Abbott <[email protected]> wrote: > Is there a way to use an audiofileas input to speechrecognition?
