Calling delete on a file that doesn't exist is fine, though it will result in that warning log message (which we should really get rid of).
If the application is stopping, this is not the error causing it. There will be a stack crawl from a crash. If there isn't, your app is most likely stuck in a loop, and you should attach the debugger and see what it is doing.
