Thank you Schwiz and David for the replies. they were helpful. I included the part that David advised and it works great.
Now I have a requirement with the search in my project. I need to provide a widget like the quick Search box in the main page of the app..ie., it should always be visible. It should also have the voice search[mic] button. So when users start typing in this or click on the mic button and start speaking, it should grab the string and open the search results page with this search string. How can I implement that? Thanks again.
