Two of my friends have Motorola Cliqs, and their phones do not want to install my application. The emulator works, the G1 works, the Droid works, but the Motorola Cliq does not. I found a post about the same problem, http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg66144.html, which says that the Cliq seems to trim off data at the end of the APK when installing it. I had my friend check, and the phone says the package is several kilobytes smaller than it actually is. I found out that if he manually saves it on his phone, then tries to install it, it works fine. Why is the Motorola Cliq trimming APKs? Will this affect Marketplace apps? Is there a way to prevent it from changing my APK, allowing my friends to install it?
