Indeed. I'm a long time LKML reader and I somehow seem to have missed this particular discussion. Most everytime some hardware vendor claims ego/politics is the reason they can't get their patches accepted into the Linux Kernel it turns out what's really happening is they don't want to be bothered with the code vetting process the Linux Kernel developers have in place. And that's really too bad for Google if this is what's happening, the code vetting process isn't going away any time soon, you either fix up your code to an acceptable state or it doesn't go in.
