Use onCreate() method.
Like
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.map_test);
map=(MapView)findViewById(R.id.map);
:::::::::::::::
}
I have no issue by calling again.
