The strange thing in my case was that I had apparently been approved as I posted several times with minimal group display latency. Then everything started getting directed to /dev/null. Contacted the moderator, never heard back, but now its all good. I did change the email associated with my subscription to this group during that time, so perhaps this is an unintended side-effect.
