Ok, Mark, thanks for your answer. I'd like to know if, in the opposite way, it is possible to build a BACKGROUND application that induces UI events in the system. For example, suppose that I have an application in charge of receiving SMS with commands (or any other type of message) and executing these commands over the local system (restricted to UI events, like entering menus or focusing widgets).
