ah I didn't think about permission issue's with Astro! The reason I didn't just read from it was I figured better make sure it there before screwing around... lol I'll do what you say and try to read the file after Im done creating it and see if it works. Astro File manager is not allowed to look at your app's local data (data/files in its sandbox). However, why don't you just read the contents of the text-file you wrote? If that's successful, writing to the text-file was successful too.
