While they're fixing all the details of official crash reporting, you might have a look at this project: http://acra.googlecode.com It sends crash reports to a Google Doc form so you don't need any server on your side and get notified of new crashes by mail. Data in the report is a bit more detailed (you can even include some of your varaibales content). (it's free and opensource, apache license) Your comments are welcome... even if I fear that this project will become useless soon.
