I installed both Eclipse and the android-sdk, as they are available in the AUR (the user repository for archlinux), and when I try to create an AVD to work with using tools/android, the Targets drop-down is greyed out. I used the update manager and downloaded everything that was available, and currently have
SDK Tools, Revision 6 Documentation....API , rev 1 Samples for SDK API 8, rev 1 Samples for SDK API 7, rev 1 Not only that, but when i try to create a new project in eclipse, it keeps saying an SDK target must be specified, yet there is no option on the project menu to specify that. Under preferences, I have told it to look in /opt/android-sdk (presumably where it needs to look, since it complains to be about not finding the tools directory otherwise), yet no targets are available.
