That's even worse than you think. I have five friends who bought a low cost android device (spica), each and everyone of them didn't even know what the market was, i had to show them...Then they went...Wow cool. But I wonder how many people do not know when they buy and use their phone as just phones :)
And that phone had a tv commercial about that for about a month :) As for your fears, they just don't hold : you can't put photos from your pc on an iphone while keeping it's resolution, you can't share music with an iphone, you can't see boobs on an iphone, you are still using postal services even though you know there's a fair bit of chance the mail will not arrive on time, and to top it all, people still watch TV and fox news even though they know it's crap-tv and not- news at all !! Android is the cheap iphone, sure apps are not as slick, but hey I got it for 1 €. So it's here to stay. And hopefully we all make better apps and the framework and the market gets better and someday we won't be the cheap alternative :) Yahel -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
