Under Apache 2 and/or GPL V2 anyone can take your application, install
it on a device they manufacture and distribute _unmodifiable_ copies
of it. Essentially stripping the end user of their freedom to
upgrade, modify and improve it. The GPL V2 is still an improvement
over the Apache2 license IMHO because it provides a practice referred
to as Copyleft. Copyleft essentially ensures that everyone receiving
a copy of your application has the following freedoms:

    * Freedom to run the software as you wish
    * Freedom to study the source code and change it to meet your
needs.
    * Freedom to help your neighbor: distribute copies
    * Freedom to contribute to your community: distribute copies of
your modified versions.

The GPL V3 ensures the same freedoms, but does so more effectively by
preventing loopholes like Tivoisation.
