At least this works for me. 1. Disable automatic launch targeting from the Run...-dialog 2. Run your project as usual 3. The launch target selector opens. Now it's tempting to click "Launch emulator", but the trick is 4. Don't do that! Click "Cancel" instead. 5. Quickly launch the project again and this time, click "Launch emulator"
