Remember that each emulator lives in its own private subnet. So if you want emulator A to talk to emulator B, you have to tunnel out from A to the hosting machine, and then tunnel back in from the hosting machine to B. If you just try to connect to 127.0.0.1, you won't go anywhere at all.
