Thanks Ludwig ... I knew about "adb" and the emulator's "-shell" parameter, but was hoping to see shell access from the GUI - much like the Zaurus had. Oh well, sigh, if the machine doesn't have what I want, it's time to "roll up the sleeves" and write it. :) - Bill
