None succeeded ?
But we did for the following formats:
mp3, m4a, mp4 and 3gp (and also amr files generated by the sound
capture built in intent).
Local files on sdcard always work with me.
Remote files work only if they are hinted for streaming (automatic
with mp3).
You can hint a mp4 based file (m4a mp4 3gp) with the shell command
MP4Box $file -hint on Linux (package gpac, if you use ubuntu or
debian, you must add medibuntu repository).
MP4Box also exists on Windows (free) or you can use Quick Time Pro to
reencode them if you have it.
