I believe that this code should work for you, I use this solution in
my Activity:
@Override
public boolean dispatchTouchEvent(MotionEvent ev) {
boolean returnValue=false;
returnValue=returnValue | mGestureDetector.onTouchEvent(ev);
returnValue=returnValue | super.dispatchTouchEvent(ev);
return returnValue;
}
