The Android platform is a joy to develop. I've been a software developer for over 20 years now and I'd have to say that this is one of the few platform I've ever used where I didn't have to developer layers and layers of my own code to finally get something useful. The platform has many useful things that you an include in your app in minutes. I haven't developed for other mobile platforms yet so I can't compare it to other platforms.
