In my view any developer outside the US have been totally insulted by
the fact that no-one is thinking outside the 5% of people living in the US.

I had previously had ideas about developing an application on Android,
blogged about an idea, and was ready to roll when the release plan
started to public, and after looking at the release plan I decided to
shelve the Android based app until Google/HTC/Someone starts to treat
developers as valued partners and stops expecting them to sign up to
lengthy contracts and take pot luck on availability just to create
applications for an totally unproven platform that has made a big thing
about wanting to help developers write apps for it.

The current treatment of developers is one of the main reasons I set up
AndAppStore.com, hopefully it's helping developers get to market despite
Googles reluctance to provide Marketplace documentation, and the whole
OHA's lack of provision of hardware for developers.
