After reading this information --> http://old.nabble.com/HttpClient-in-Android-td27915358.html I really need to know what direction Android is likely to go with regard to HttpClient. I am in the position of needing the missing functionality mentioned near the end. (i.e. SSLSocketFactory(SslContext)).
Will there be a patch for version 2.2? Will an HttpClient upgrade be included in the next OS? Will it be dropped in favor of allowing developers to install their own? Will Android instead encourage relying on the functionality built into JDK6? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
