One thing I've noticed on froyo, and this could be due to my lack of understanding, is that network connections sometimes fail over wifi even with cpu and wifi lock. Wifi reports its connected yet calls fail immediately. The second I wake up the phone, back in business. (if I disable wifi and re-try, works fine over 3G)
