We are looking for a Software Engineer/Development Manager at Bangalore India.
Core Responsibilities: The Staff Software Engineer will report to FMS’ Senior Development Manager for Product Development in Bangalore, India. He/ she will be accountable for providing a high level of technical leadership in service to a high performing product development team at Intuit India. This team will operate in all phases of the software development life cycle and will significantly contribute to FMS’ overall growth and sustainability. Candidates must demonstrate proven success in these critical areas: - Commitment to high quality, awesome execution, solving for customers and employee engagement - Apply experience, leadership, and innovation to generate creative solutions to complex customer problems - Provide technical leadership throughout all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including brand new solutions and enhancements to existing products - Collaborate effectively with and influence peers, architects and managers to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas - Provide proactive guidance and review all engineers’ work within the assigned scope - Arbitrate disagreements and make decisions while maintaining effective working relationships. Resolve technological disagreements with informed, rational debate. - Mentor / coach other software and QA engineers to facilitate their professional development - Influence and communicate effectively with non-technical staff including senior product and business management - Instill a positive sense of energy and enthusiasm in teams through role modeling and leadership - Applied project management skills and the ability to effectively manage high performing teams by being a charismatic motivator and thought leader - Confidently make high impact decisions despite incomplete or ambiguous information. Communicate the decision and the logic behind the decision. - Use multiple channels to gather feedback, including individuals, leaders and customers. Regularly self-assesses, and personally learn and grow in the process. - Continuous process improvement - Deep technical understanding and extraordinary passion for growing and applying technical skills in service to customers Qualifications: - BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent - 9+ years experience in software engineering with at-least 4 years in mobile application development and implementation - Outstanding application of software development life cycle principles including Agile/ Scrum - Outstanding grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application - Outstanding application of software engineering disciplines, including: abstract problem solving, deep technology understanding, solution generation, requirements management, configuration management, quality assurance, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, structured programming, design patterns - 5+ years Java/J2EE/JBoss software development professional experience - 5+ years experience with OO analysis, design and implementation -3+ years in Mobile application design & development (Apps, framework, architecture [with emphasis on security, scalability, performance, reliability, availability, maintainability…], porting applications on Java ME, Symbian, open source, etc. 2+ years of application design and development experience in either of iPhone/ Blackberry/ Android is a MUST). - 2+ Years in mobile application performance trouble shooting and optimization - 2+ years in Java based web application development including web services - 3+ years technical leadership and mentoring teams of software engineers - Leadership experience in specifying, designing, developing and implementing enterprise-class, web-based Java systems - Fluency with Unified Modeling Language - Demonstrated ability to produce designs for robust software, and to carry through with their execution - Hands on experience with formal software development methodology - Helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems - Strong desire to learn and grow - Outstanding problem solving skills with a history of driving the development of major software components - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills - Outstanding partnership skills Preferred skills and experience: - Model Driven Development/Architecture, Test Driven Development - Connected services - Developing Rich Internet Applications using Adobe Flex - Test Automation - XML - Familiarity with UML modeling tools - Familiarity with using use cases and user stories to capture requirements and drive development - Familiarity with Financial Management applications and domain - Developing desktop applications using C, C++, .NET - Success in multi-cultural teams IF you are interested then please send me your word format resume along with your below details Total IT exp ___ C++ ______ years of experience Java ______ years of experience Android______ years of experience iPhone______ years of experience Blackberry______ years of experience Mobile application development experience _____ years of experience Mobile Platforms you have worked on _______ Product development companies you have worked for ____ Product development experience and which products were those?
