I am sure I am not the only one who would be grateful, Mark, if you
could expand on those security reasons. After all, on my desktop
browser, I can refer to local files all the time, so I would think
that I should be able to do similarly on the phone, with the caveat
that I should be able to access only files I have placed there, e.g.,
no files requiring root or system privileges. But why shouldn't I be
able to access a PDF file I put on my SD card, for example? Where is
the security risk in that?
