The best "reference" is the documentation supplied with the sdk. If you want a better instructional book, I suggest looking at Mark Murphy's set of books, they're fairly inexpensive and he constantly updates them. You can also purchase some (all?) as physical books as well, but using them as PDF's to me is just fine plus when he updates them you can simply download an update.
