I've tried playing very short (0ms, 10ms and 20ms) MP3 files on both my Nexus One (2.2) and HTC Hero (2.1-update1) but both are unable to do so (either crashing or giving some error). 50ms+ work fine.
Can anyone else confirm this? If you're wondering why anyone would want to play such a short MP3, its to implement a workaround for an existing bug with the MediaPlayer.
