I'm not much of a cell phone person either and was also waiting for
the Android equivalent of the iPod Touch, but I lost patience and got
a Nexus One without cell service (but still with WiFi networking ...
and I think with emergency call cell service although I don't plan on
trying that) and have been rather impressed.
