I should clarify that you generally CAN, on most JVMs (don't know
about Android) modify the "default class path" that includes some of
the optional libraries.  What you can't do (easily) is modify the
"system class path" where most of the "java" and "sun" classes reside,
and some of the "javax" ones.

I haven't looked at what Android places in the system class path.  I
suspect many of the "android" classes reside there.
