The system handles that. You just ask for the resource by name
(R.layout.foo), and Android figures out whether
res/layout-large/foo.xml or res/layout-small/foo.xml or
res/layout-normal-land/foo.xml or res/layout-en-US-normal-land/foo.xml
(or whatever) is the right one based on the current device
configuration.
