I'm using the Google APIs Level 8, but I'm told you need Market and
GTalk installed and working, and I don't have either of those, and have
no idea what to do to get them, or if it's even possible without
building my own image :). Also, the JumpNote app is not able to sync
properly, although if I use the Dev Tools app it says that sync
succeeded with JumpNote. GMail also seems ok.
When testing C2DM The only response I get to sending the registration
intent is "SERVICE_NOT_AVAILABLE", which leads me to believe that I'm
missing something in the emulator to make it work.

Have you tried the Google APIs level 8, which have the Market
components required by LVL? I don't know if they'll work - I haven't
messed around with C2DM - but they're the only emulator images I know
of with official Market components.
