I'd be curious if anyone has a good way to do this, too. It actually relates to a problem I'm working on.
I know it's possible to do something *like* this. I did it once; I'm not sure what library I used but I was able to pull down an rss feed, parse, format, and display it in a textview. It's significantly more work than just putting a simple webview up, though, especially to do it right.
