Hi,

*just posted this on Platform, but this may be the right place for
this question *
If I take a Droid phone, I can turn off checkbox options under
"Location and Security" for
1. Use Wireless Networks
2. Use GPS Satellites

and then under Privacy, turn off the option for ""Use My Location"

That prevents websites printing "Acquiring location" message on a
device which does not have any location provider.

I am struggling to do this pro grammatically on my Android device
under development. so would appreciate any
pointers.

There's a default.xml under SettingsProvider , where in I have tried
having a null empty list for Location Providers, but that did not
work. There wasnt anything for privacy settings here.

I would like these values to be off by default
I also have a customized Settings App , where in the privacy option
does not even appear

thanks,
