Noob here, so go easy on me. After a while as a WinMobile developer, I've decided to try the other side of the fence...
It's been pretty smooth riding so far, but one thing eludes me... how do I terminal a call that is in progress? I've done some research, and the general consensus is that you can't do so. That said, these guys: http://www.taosoftware.co.jp/en/android/callblocking/ seem to have done precisely that. (the take call before hangup, though cryptically named, answers the call, then hangs up) So, it's clearly possible... but how is the question!
