I don't think this was directed at you. This was an example of another thing
people do that discourages others from responding to help.

I preceded some statements with "not trying to be rude", "actually trying
to help you", and "not trying to belittle your problem" to try to take some
of the sting out of my comments, but I don't know how to state the fact that
your urgency is irrelevant to anyone else and doesn't help you get help with
any more finesse in a toneless email.

Oh good grief. I thought this was clear based on the context of the
discussion, but apparently not. Let me clarify:
"it's only validly urgent to the person posting and everyone else really
doesn't give a damn ABOUT HOW URGENT THE POSTER THINKS THEIR PROBLEM IS"

Is that clearer?

I post on here because I like to help out, where I think I can, since if and
when I post a question myself, I'd like to get help in turn. If you check my
posting history, you'll see that 95% of threads I respond to are in an
effort to help. You may not like my sarcastic smart-ass style but I'm not
going to change how I reply because a few people are easily offended by what
a random idiot on the internet has to say.
